Universal Studios Update: A Few Minor Improvements

Universal Studios Florida has received a lot of attention in the past three years, and the park is now finally able to relax a bit. That said, this won't last long, as persistent rumors point to the possibility of having an entire themed area closing before the end of this fall for another massive expansion. In the meantime, let us take a quick look around just a few of the themed areas of the park to see what is currently being done. As the title implies, there are a few minor improvements to report:

Some brand-new banners were just added on each side of the Universal Studios Store:

They look nice:

Hollywood:

The former Despicable Me 2 photo-op is currently being removed. We think it will be replaced by a Boxtrolls photo-op, similar to the one that was recently added to Universal Studios Hollywood:

Back to Production Central:

Some work was being done on one of the barges use during Universal's Cinematic Spectacular:

Note the panels removed from one side:

New York:

One of the storage areas (also used for Universal Studios' nighttime show) is being refurbished:

San Francisco:

And that is all for now. Before concluding, remember to like us on our official Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for live updates from the parks. Thank you very much for your support, and see you again real soon!

  5. I remember reading about this elsewhere; my understanding is that ET and Animal Actors on Location will remain, however, everything from Fievel's Playland to Curious George will be redone.

  6. ET is still a popular ride but little kids won't have even heard of fievel out of a American tail. It be good if they did a dream works area.
