Universal Studios: Gringotts Queue Line Photos

The Gringotts Bank is now open to all visitors that would like to open their very own account. This revolutionary attraction features one of the most immersive and detailed queue line ever seen inside a theme park. Its beautiful and lavish floors, its complex and life-like Audi-Animatronic figures, the two amazing pre-show areas... all is definitely out-of-the-ordinary, and will please even the most critical theme park fans. Let's now take a look around Gringotts together:

The area surrounding the attraction's entrance:

The entrance:

The first sight seen inside the bank to the bank:

The corridor leading outside to the extended queue line:

A snack cart is conveniently located at the entrance of the outdoor portion of the queue:

You may need something to eat and/or drink while waiting in this line, believe us:

Back inside:

These lights are magnificent:

We have these guys all around us that continue to work tirelessly while we wait:

The head of the bank. He's also the one that acknowledges us by talking directly to us:

Moving on:

Entering the vaults area:

After the vaults, we approach the offices area:

Here we see papers with moving images:

And people having important discussions behind doors:

Entering the first pre-show area, guarded by these strange beings:

This office is on of the most detailed environments we have ever seen:

So much to see:

The carts that we would be boarding (we just previewed the queue. We didn't ride the actual attraction, as the wait time was about five hours):

Time to board the elevator:

This is one of the most amazing, yet simple, pre-shows ever. The floor bounces and moves as the elevators "descends" into the caverns and vaults of the bank, and the top of the elevator shows us the exterior:

Afterwards, you encounter a set of winding stairs (not pictured). After loading, the ride begins. Following the unloading process, more stairs are encountered (elevators are available), and then there's this corridor:

The lockers area:

And that is all for now. Before concluding, remember to like us on our official Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for live updates from the parks. 1. Heading there the second week of September. Anyone care to guess (or from experience) what the crowds would be like then? I'm praying with kids back in school that the crowd levels would be low!

  2. While it won't be nearly as busy as it is right now, it will still be VERY busy.

The land will be hit or miss in terms of needing a return time to enter the land. During the weekend, you will still most likely need to wait in a standby queue or get the return ticket to enter the land. During the weekday, the return times and standby queue might still be in effect during the morning but might not be needed in the evening hours.

As far as the ride goes, I would expect to wait a minimum of 90 minutes during most of the day. It of course will most likely never hit the 475 minute wait it hit on opening day, but it will be hitting 150+ nearly everyday for the rest of the year.

When Hogsmeade opened, it needed return time tickets for nearly a full year. During the school season, it was hit or miss but everything was set up to start using them at a moments notice. These were just tickets handed out by TM's. This time around they built a specific area and installed a bunch of computers to pick up return times so it seems they plan on using these for some time.

I am going the first week of October and already know it is going to still be insanely busy. Don't expect the crowds to just disappear because of school. This is the biggest theme park opening that has happened since Hogsmeade and it will draw crowds for well over a year. Disney hasn't done anything this big in years!

On a side note: Thanks for finally including Harry Potter content on this website!! This is my favorite site to get theme park pictures but the lack of Harry Potter stuff was really disappointing! Hope you guys have a lot more pictures of the land on the way!

  3. Great photo update of the new land! I would love to see more details and photos of this beautifully themed land. Universal Creative did it once again!

  4. I visited Hogsmeade the first week of October in 2010 and waited roughly an hour to ride Forbidden Journey. Although the rest of the land was quite crowded, I didn't think the wait time was that bad.

  5. Wow, OTPN actually posted something about Harry Potter. The end must be near.

  6. I'm glad to see you have decided to listen to the people and cover the new area. It will continue to bring more visitors to your page (which I regularly visit myself). Although I do notice that you do not directly refer to "Harry Potter" on any of it by shortening the names of things or blocking the name out of pictures. I am still very happy to see this wonderful area. Thank you!!!!

  7. @Last Anonymous: Thank you for your kind words, but we would like to make sure that everybody understands that our beliefs have not changed, and we will NEVER give them up, because we truly believe in them. That said, we would like to show our Readers the beauty of the theme and environment that Universal Orlando was able to create, which is nothing short of amazing.

Thank you again for following us!
