Orlando’s First Authentic German Restaurant Now Open

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (June 16, 2014) - Orlando’s first authentic German Restaurant owned by real Germans opened their doors. The Germans Restaurant & Bierhouse officially opened to the public on June 3, 2014. It is located 3 Miles from the Walt Disney World Resort on West 192 in Kissimmee, the heart of the tourist district. The Germans Restaurant & Bierhouse is the only authentic German Restaurant owned by real Germans, with a Chef from Germany.

The Owners, Michael and Laura Bratsch, fulfilled a long-time dream with their first Restaurant in the United States. After winning the Green Card in the “European Green Card Lottery,” Michael and Laura Bratsch moved to Orlando in October 2013.

“Building a Life and open a real authentic German Restaurant in Orlando was always a dream of us [sic]” says Michael Bratsch. “Orlando is the No.1 vacation spot with the biggest attractions and the best restaurants. The perfect place to open a real authentic German place. We life [sic] the American Dream”

The Germans Restaurant & Bierhouse works only with the best and freshest Products.
“We don´t work with any kind of frozen products! Nearly everything is handmade. Our meat and sausages come from a German Butcher from Seattle, no industrial production here. All our pasta, dumplings, red cabbage, gravy... everything is handmade. Even our Ketchup is handmade!” said Michael Bratsch.

95% Local Guests after 2 Weeks.
“We are very proud that 95% our Guests in the first two weeks are locals! We got already regular customers from downtown Orlando, Windermere, and even Delaware” stated Michael Bratsch. “The feedback from our Guests is amazing. We got 98% Five Star ratings and over 580 Facebook fans in the first 2 weeks; the mouth to mouth [sic] propaganda is incredible.”

Original German Beer and Wine comes in authentic glassware.
Like the German tradition, every beer brand has its own glassware. “This was important for us, we want to be an authentic German restaurant in every way. There is so much more than Oktoberfest, Volksmusik, and Chicken Dance in Germany. Actually, the Chicken Dance comes from Switzerland and the Netherlands, no one in Germany dance [sic] this!” says Laura Bratsch.

“We have a big cultural background and we want to share a bit of it with our Guests. This is the reason why we built our German Wall of History” said Michael Bratsch. A wall full of pictures about the German history is part of the decoration of the Germans Restaurant & Bierhouse.

  1. I had the pleasure of eating lunch at the Germans on Saturday with my family. Outstanding currywurst . My Son and daughter-in-law enjoyed their meals also. I lived in Germany for three years and love their culture and food . We will definitely be back to the Germans.
