Animal Kingdom: Major Discovery Island Work Begins Soon
As part of the largest expansion in the history of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, several locations will undergo enhancements that will cause construction throughout the area. On Discovery Island, construction walls will appear through 2015 as this area of the park continues to be enhanced. Here's a look at what's to come over the next few months (please, make sure to note that this schedule may change at any time and for any reason.):
Mid-May to mid–July 2014
A new home for the park's Cotton-Top Tamarins will be built across from Creature Comforts.
Early June 2014 to early July 2015
The retail space for Disney Outfitters will be expanded. Walls will cover the Tip Board in mid-June to accommodate this work.
Mid-June to late September 2014
A new coffee kiosk will be built close to Flame Tree Barbecue.

Coffee Kiosk a Themed Starbucks possibly or Joffreys? Wasn't there a plan for in each park, yet HS got a Joffery's Kiosk.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is more likely a new Joffrey's kiosk. Starbucks will get a brand-new, indoor location.
ReplyDeleteI believe the rumor right now is that Creature Comforts will become the DAK version of Starbucks due to its position near Africa.
