Walt Disney World Resort Parking Prices Increase (2014)
If you are usually among those who have to pay when parking in one of the lots of the Disney theme parks (or use valet elsewhere), you should take note of the following price adjustment:
"Effective TODAY (Sunday, March 30, 2014), the cost of self-parking at our theme parks and the cost of valet parking at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Downtown Disney will be adjusted." Continue reading for additional information on this subject, including the new prices.

The parking rate depends on your vehicle, but each theme park lot charges the same rate per day.
- Automobile, taxi, limo or motorcycle: $17 USD (previously $15 USD);
- Camper, trailer or RV: $18 USD (previously $16 USD);
- Bus or tractor trailer: $21 USD (previously $19 USD);
As stated at the beginning of this post, valet parking prices increased too. Here you are the adjusted rates:
- Downtown Disney valet parking: $20 USD (previously $15 USD);
- Disney Resort Hotels valet parking (only available at select Deluxe Hotels): $20 USD (previously $15 USD);
As a reminder, if you are a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel, you receive complimentary parking at Disney theme parks for the length of your Resort stay. You must present valid Disney Resort hotel identification to enter the parking lots. Parking is also complimentary with select Annual Passes.
As a canadian I'v taken well over 30 trips to disney over the last 27 years, now it costs half the price of a single day admission into disney today ...with a 10 day ticket... this is pretty sad. I remember visiting disney when it only cost 25 dollars for a day at the park. now it's almost that just for parking...

I'm Canadian too. The first time I took my family to Disney in 2005, the CAN $ was worth 70 cents US. Four years later our trip was cheaper and we stayed at a higher level resort. If you can afford as a Canadian to go to Disney at least once a year, you really can't complain about the price increase. It will never be cheap for any tourist, no matter where they are from.

ReplyDeleteJason and Anonymous 2, contrary to some peoples' popular belief, it is perfectly reasonable to discuss Disney's never-ending quest to get every last dollar from their [overly] loyal customers, and the extreme limits they push to do so. Paying $50/day more to stay at a comparably below-average resort is not the answer for everyone, or even higher differentials as the hotel quality improves. Or any other number of perfectly valid reasons to stay 'off-Disney'. Simply stating "stay on property" and "you really can't complain" adds little to nothing to reasonable discussion as to Disney's constant pushing of the limits of reasonableness at every possible opportunity.
ReplyDeleteGuess what? You can complain all you want and the prices will go up. People will continue to go to Disney and pay for it. It is fair, of course not, but welcome to big business. Unless people stop going, the prices will continue to rise. Look at sporting events or even movie theatres. It is ridiculous what we are charged. Is it going to change? No. You are not forced to go to Disney- especially every year. It takes a long time for my family to raise the money to go. I don't have to, but I do. Prices will continue to go up no matter what. There is no discussion. It is what it is.
