Universal Studios Update: Colorful London (PART 1)

Welcome to our newest photo-report, Orlando Theme Park News Readers!
Today we are going to take a look around Universal Studios Florida to check out on the progress being done in the various areas that are currently under construction. As always, we will focus primarily on the London waterfront, but we will also take a general look around the rest of the park. So, without further ado, let us embark on this virtual tour of the park. We hope you will enjoy the pictures (remember to post your comments at the end of this update!):

The slow season is finally here again:

Wandering around Hollywood Boulevard:

This bench is constantly reserved:

The Garden of Allah Villas should soon become a new interactive museum according to some recent rumors:

We can't wait to see this beautiful place finally serving a purpose:

New Coke Freestyle machines have also made their way to the KidZone Pizza Company:

A quick look around the rest of the area:

The temporary Studio Directory sign is still in its place:

The Expo Eats quick-service location has returned in its previous spot:

The beautiful Springfield area:

World Expo:

While walking, we noticed that the MetLife blimp was flying above the area:

  1. What time of day were these taken ? we are coming over from the UK end of the month :-)

  2. They were taken in the early afternoon hours.

By the way, we hope you will enjoy your upcoming visit!

  3. Can I ask a favour? Next time you take a photo of the Coke machines would you take a close up? Sounds odd but I'd really like to see what flavours there are!

Also, the Universal Studios Museum sounds like a great idea. If I read it correctly, it'll be a theme park museum (as apposed to a film studio one) which would be fascinating.

  4. Anonymous, we definitely have to make a note to ourselves, so that we do not forget. Next time, we'll try to take some close-up pictures of the Coke Freestyle machines for you. :-)

  5. The flavors offered depends on what soda you get, coke or sprite, etc. For coke they have flavors like raspberry, lime and my favorite orange.

  6. Thank you! There's definitely one FreeStyle machine in the UK, but I never get round to going into Burger King when I'm in London so I've yet to see it!

  7. Are the Freestyle machines still part of a separate cost? When we were there in January, you had to pay for a separate cup and I was wondering if this was still the case!
