Orlando Public Road Renamed "Fun Spot Way"

An interesting news was reported to us by Mr. Brisson, Director of Marketing for Fun Spot Attractions:

[On] March 6, 2013 saw the fruition of months of Fun Spot Attractions working with the City of Orlando to change the name of one small access road off International Drive. At the February 4th, Board of City Commissioner meeting it was resolved to change “Touchstone Road” to “Fun Spot Way”. This 2/10 of a mile road that connects International Drive (at Festival Bay) and Grand National Drive will become the main entrance for the expanded Fun Spot America that opens on June 1st with two new roller coasters, a new SkyCoaster, an improved multi-level go-kart track, and many new thrill rides. Below are photos showing the new road signs:

Fun Spot has also changed its address from 5551 Del Verde Way, to 5701 Fun Spot Way, Orlando, FL. When asked about changing the name of the street, Jon Arie, Jr, the COO and TV spokesperson said, “It’s HUGE!”
