New Segway Tour Debuting at Epcot (September 2012)

A new Segway tour will soon debut at Epcot. This new tour will begin to be available to guests starting from September 17, 2012, and it will have a quite long name. We'll just call it "Keep Moving Forward." Here you are some additional information regarding this new offering, from the official Disney Parks Blog

‘Keep Moving Forward’ Epcot Segway Tour & Breakfast Debuts Sept. 17

We have an update that’s sure to be a real treat for fans of early Epcot history.

Beginning September 17, [2012,] Epcot guests can enjoy a new Segway tour that explores Walt Disney’s vision for a better tomorrow – and the results of that vision: The Florida Project and Epcot. The “Keep Moving Forward: See the World, Share the Dream Segway Tour” lasts three hours and includes a Segway training lesson, breakfast at Sunshine Seasons, an in-depth tour of World Showcase, and an exclusive Disney pin.

The tour will cost $99 (plus tax) for guests age 16 and older. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for participants age 16-17. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will receive a 15% discount.

For more information or to book, call (407) WDW-TOUR (939-8687).

Sounds like a great addition. Despite the cost, we would love to be able to experience it. What about you?

  1. Do you know if there is a weight limitation for this tour as the one there was before in Innovention pavilion???

  2. @Bigfoot
Yes there will always be a weight limitation on this kind of tours because of the way a segway is constructed. A rider must NOT be LESS than 100 lbs. (45 kg). The maximum payload (which includes rider and all cargo) for the Segway PT is 260 lbs. (117 kg).
This is not because Disney want's that but because that are the limits within a Sagway to work safe.
