New Old Town Additions May Include Magnetron

Old Town will soon welcome some new stores and attractions in the near future. They've already opened the big AMPVenture Experience just a few months ago, but the new management doesn't want to stop there. Here you are just a few of the new additions that have either already opened, or that will open very soon:

Have you noticed? The last new store mentioned is called "MAGNATRON." There's a good possibility that they meant Magnetron, which was the great store that recently had to move out of Downtown Disney to make way for "BLINK by Wet Seal." In addition to that, it looks like there will be a section of the store that will sell everyday objects for left-handed people, just like the one in the Marketplace area of Downtown Disney.

Wouldn't it be great to have Magnetron back? It was one of our favorite stores, so we would be more than happy to see it coming to Old Town.

  1. a new home for Magnetron would be very welcome!

One of the attractions of Downtown Disney for me was the unique and unusual shops you could find there. Sadly Disney now seem to be veering more towards endless fashion and clothing outlets.

Old Town has always had a good range of quirky, unique shops which has always been part of its charm but for too many years remained unchanged.

Regardless of whether Magnetron relocates to Old Town, its clear that Old Town's new management are keen to update and improve the entertainment, shopping and dining options available and must be applauded for their efforts in giving this much loved (by me anyway) location a needed facelift!
