Fireworks Test for Future "Illuminations" Upgrades

Before you may get to the wrong conclusions, we want to assure you that there are NO CHANGES planned for the beloved "Illuminations: Reflections of Earth" show at this time. The Walt Disney World resort is only planning to test different kinds of fireworks to understand if they would be suitable for a possible upgrade of Epcot's nighttime show in the future. Take a look at some specifications about this test, which will take place tomorrow:

On Monday, August 8, following Epcot park clear, for approximately 60-75 minutes (11:15 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.), fireworks testing will occur on the waters and seawalls of the World Showcase Lagoon.
While some of the fireworks tested may appear slightly different than our nightly performance, please note that there are no significant changes planned for Epcot’s “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” show at this time.

Resorts impact: Light to moderate noise and minor impact due to lighting.

Most of us love that magnificent nighttime spectacular, so every time we hear something about a "change," we are a bit careful, as the show is great as is. Of course, I would be more than glad to see the addition of new fireworks, but, as we said before, nothing is happening at this moment.

  1. I would really love to see a change to the show. It will keep things fresh. I have seen this show so many times I am kinda of bored with it.
