Dave & Buster's Orlando - Grand Opening Day (Part 2)

Welcome to part 2 of this special update of the new Dave & Buster's Orlando. After having seen the exterior of the building in PART 1 of this update, it is time to go inside to check out the arcade and the restaurant. Are you ready? Yes? then, let's go in!

Oh, by the way, before we even start, we wanted to apologize if some of the pictures of the interior are a bit dark, but we wanted to avoid using the flash, especially since it was full of people playing, so the flash would have disturbed guests. Thanks for understanding.

The first thing you see on your left, as you enter the main floor is the "Welcome Center" (and, by the way, some of the team members were holding the door open for guests to go in. We don't know if it will always be like that, but we hope so). There, you can buy your playing cards (that you can also use to buy food), and you can also ask anything about how things work, in case you (like us) have never been in a Dave & Buster's location:

Let's take a look around the arcade:

At the "Power Station you can buy and recharge your own card by yourself:

Overall, the arcade area is quite noisy because, of course, it's a huge place full of games that feature things that spin, bounce... but after a while you won't even notice it anymore:

The target audience of this kind of restaurant/arcade is kids from 7-8 years of age to about 60. Elderly people will not be really attracted by this place (but they will enjoy your company, if you take them to the restaurant):

The game offering is really incredible:

Most of the games are really family-friendly:

At the "Winners Circle," you can get your prizes, based on the number of tickets you have:

It works like a normal shop: you choose your prize 9based on the tickets you have, as we previously said), then yo present your card and... Voila'!

They range from very simple candies...:

...to home appliances! There are even Play Station 3's, X-Box'es, I-pods and much more!:

Just next to the arcade, there are three different showrooms, that can be used for small meetings.

Showroom 1 and 2 can be linked together and form one bigger showroom, as seen in the following pictures:

You can see the removable wall at the end of the room:

Showroom 3:

Lastly, here's the restaurant, which offers burgers, steaks, fresh french fries, and more:

As you can notice, there are a lot of TV screens all over the place (including in the bathrooms):

The smaller dining room:

A few of the tables even have a draft so that you can refill your glass when you want (you can keep track how much you drink thanks to a LED screen):

The main dining room:

It features a very big "diorama":

This has to be one of the biggest TV screens in a restaurant:

This will soon be filled with names of the best team members:

  1. Always been curious about Dave & Busters. Next time me and my friends are near I-Drive will have to check it out.

  2. You mean "mural" right?? Not "diorama"...Have you been to Disneyquest? definitely a place that doesn't have much natural light in a similar fashion..

  3. This seems like a simpler version of other Dave & Busters. For example, the one in Memphis, TN not only has a restaurant, bar, and arcade, but they also have pool tables and a bowling alley.

  4. rst off I am an avid D&B customer, My family has been to multiple locations throughout the US and always had an awesome time. However, the Orlando facility leaves alot to be desired!!! I understand it's opening week and it will take some time to work the bugs out but the service we received was horrible and can't be just blamed on "opening week" issues.
The visit started out at 4:30pm circling the small poorly planned parking lot for about 10-15 min before finding a space. The parking lot is only ground level and 1/3 of it is reserved for Valet at a charge of $5 (which I'm always leery of utilizing valet which was confirmed why I don't do it later in the evening). Afterwards we met with a friend in the parking lot and proceeded into the establishment.
The place was packed when we walked in and stood in an extremely long line to have our power cards loaded with the coupons that were emailed to us (remember we go to D&B even chance we get), after about 30 min we finally made it through this line and we were ready for the kids to play games and the adults to relax. My husband found a high top table in the bar while we waited in line to have the cards loaded and so we ordered drinks, appetizers and food. Service was not only slow but I probably could have went to another restaurant ordered a meal ate it returned to D&B drove around for 15 min looking for a parking space and still would have beat the food to the table. I'm really not exaggerating it was sad. Our drinks would run dry for quite a while before we could flag someone down to get refills. After we ate we received our bills and we were double charged for muliple items an overcharge of $40 and so was our friend overcharge of $5.00. We finally got that straightened out and off to play games.
We played for a short time because the place was getting so full that you couldn't get on any games without having to wait in line and the a/c either needs upgraded or turned on!!! It was so hot and so many people that it was cooler outside in the parking lot in July in Florida!!!
Here's the kicker at 8:15p we left the building got to the parking garage and my friends car and two other vehicles are blocked in by a double parked car. I went and spoke to someone who worked there and they sent me to speak with valet. Valet stated that they parked the car there and would move it right away they had no other place to park it. We waited and waited and waited...one of the valets was looking in the window and under the taurus dbl parked and after asking him "what the hell are you doing" he stated that they couldn't find the keys to the vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! We asked for the manager. We spoke with the Valet Mgr/Owner, two separate D&B managers, police officier, etc etc. We were told that a tow truck could not fit into the parking garage. The owner of the Taurus came out and was pissed they went home in a taxi got their spare keys and 3 1/2 hrs later were free to leave. D&B managers did not says Sorry, kiss my axx, nothing.
The entire staff were not trained nor prepared to handle running this facility. The building is poorly planned for space, parking and employees. I doubt we will be visiting this D&B again anytime soon even though it's only 15 min away from home.

  5. The Orlando Dave and Buster's looks quite different from the D&B locations I've been to in South Florida. The Orlando location had kind of a casino look to it when you get to the entrance on the second floor. Also no billiards is very odd.I did at least like the entrance area with the stairs,it's a good addition to I-Drive but I think I like their other locations better.I didn't eat or play as I only went to look at it after getting out of the parks so I can't comment on anything else.
