Magic Kingdom Update - Confectionery News & More

Last week, we took our usual look at the Magic Kingdom in general, and we finally witnessed the completion of the Confectionery's facade refurbishment, which lasted for more than six months. Now, more particulars have been added to the building. The rest of the park is receiving a lot of minor work too, like the refurbishment of Pecos Bill's facade, the renovation of the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade, the removal of the spinning globe in Tomorrowland, and much, much more. Let's take a look together at this week's changes!:

The Town Square Theater:

Mickey is a really good employee! I had just met him inside the theater, and then I saw him on one of the parade's floats! Great job, Mickey! :-)

The store has received the new covers on the windows, as you can see:

A closer look at the new additions:

It looks almost complete now:

Let's take a look at the dedications on the windows:

This is a bit odd... A section of the window covers part of the phrase. We hope they will make the necessary adjustments:

What a great view, isn't it?:

In Adventureland, the Tiki Room is still receiving some love:

In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room, in the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room, all the birds sing songs...

You can spot some work being done on the entrance bridge:

The Tortuga Tavern restaurant is now open every day, for good (only during lunch hours):

New details have been added:

They've even put some things that belong to a VIP (Very Important Pirate):

Yep, that's his stuff:

More nice details, inside the restaurant:

  1. Great update as always. Glad to see that the Confectionery is almost done. Next time your at the Magic Kingdom, could you get some pictures of the monorail station? I heard that they installed some new lighting there. I would like to see what they did.

  3. Wow... look how many flowers there are near the castle... I hope one day the will create the Alice's Maze, like the one in DLP (one of the few things that DLP have better than WDW!!!!)

The Confectionery looks absolutely great,it seems to come straight from a Mickey Mouse Cartoon!!! The color are so patriotic!!!

And finally the picture of Walt and Mikey are great and as Isobel said before, those are really sharp and full detailed!!! Next time if you move on the left with the right inclination you can take the same picture but with the optical illusion of Walt that touch the Castle top (like if the idea that come from a cartoon, trough the man, become real in tis place!!!)

I really love the period "If we can dream, We can do it"... I could be a good slogan form many things in life!!!

  4. Thanks for posting such great pictures in this update! The Confectionary looks great, just some signage and it appears it will be done. I like the new "lighter" color scheme. The hub also looks great in full bloom. Glad to see so much TLC going into the MK. The exteriors are really looking great everywhere. (Maybe some interior attraction work will be next....fingers crossed.) Once again, thanks for the great update.
