Magic Kingdom General Update - June 7, 2011

After our enormous Fantasyland Update, it is time to post our pictures of the other lands of the Magic Kingdom park! Let's see if there're something new...

I really like this "Let the Memories Begin!" banner:

The new Town Square Theater is always beautiful:

And Mickey Mouse is still very accessible! That's great!:

Work continues on the Confectionery:

Dream Along...

...with Mickey:

The Main Street Fashion Apparel:

It looks like they've renovated the exterior of the Hall of Champions:

Lots of balloon vendors:

Going to Adventureland:

The Enchanted Tiki Room walls have been extended a lot:

I hope they're doing an extensive work in the queue area too!:

It looks like the Jungle Cruise sign has been cleaned from the climbing plants that were all around it:

Blackbeard is now part of the crew in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. If you haven't seen it already, there you go!:

Going to Frontierland:

A new tarp has been put in front of the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn Cafe:

They're refurbishing the whole facade of the building. Very good:

A panoramic view of this enormous tarp (it goes all around the restaurant):

Some Frontierland Characters walking around, after a show (by the way, this show is NOT on the times guide. It is a surprise show that takes place each afternoon in front of the Country Bear Jamboree building):

Also, the FRONTIERLAND SHOOTING ARCADE is now closed until October 1, 2011. It is a very long refurbishment, and the reopening date makes us wonder... (WDW opened 40 years ago on October 1).

They're now working on the right side of the entrance to the Liberty Square Riverboat Landing:

The left side looks great:

Still a lot of work going on the spinning globe in Tomorrowland:

They've installed new pipes... Is the globe actually coming back? We hope so!:

The original sign for the Carousel of Progress is now back, and it looks just like before, minus the display with the year. On the day of our visit, there was still the temporary sign. Take a last look at is:

On Stitch's Great Escape, it looks like they've upgraded one of the video screens inside the ride, but we are not entirely sure about this. We personally hope we're wrong, as this would mean that they're going to retain the attraction for quite a while... and that wouldn't be good at all:

Summer has started, and this means the return of Stitch's dance party. It will last all summer long:

Since the opening times of the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor sometimes differ from the park's opening time, they have installed a new sign in front of the attraction:

Work is going on Stitch's never-used Fastpass area:

They've removed the screens from the two small openings:

Why don't they remove the whole area?:

You can see electrical wires now:

A look back at Tomorrowland, which is receiving some attention, as you've seen previously, but it is still absolutely not enough. This land needs a lot more work:

The Tomorrowland Terrace is open! Surprise!:

Muppet Movie poster at the exit of the park:

Work continues on the bus stops, just outside the park entrance:

Work is done on the new monorail beam:

This is a very blurry photo, but you can see the new light that has been installed on the side of the new beam:

And that is all, folks! Thanks for joining us today, and have a great day!
