Universal Studios Update - Health Services, Delorean

After Universal's Islands of Adventure has received a lot of additions, including a newly-refurbished (but still seasonal) Triceratops Discovery Trail and other seasonal entertainment opportunities, it looks like the management of Universal Orlando decided to shift its attention to the neighboring park, Universal Studios.

Indeed, the park is receiving some minor, but yet important refurbishments, as well as a new ride which will be announced on May 19 (MORE INFO HERE), so we can truly say that the original park of the resort is slowly - but steadily - going back to its original glory. Let's check out what has been recently done in the park, including what's new and what has changed:

The famous Universal Studios Florida arch really makes a great entrance:

Inside the park, the first thing we notice is the closure of "Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast". It has been closed once, then it has briefly re-opened for the spring crowds. Now it is slated to re-open for a while during the summer, until it will close for good on August 18, 2011:

Going away soon:

Inside the "Nickstuff" store, nothing has really changed since our last visit:

Jimmy Neutron's post-show is now a ghost town:

The Monsters Cafe has a sign outside, but it's closed most of the time:

NEW! - The Delorean, Back to the Future's signature car, is back after a long refurbishment:

It looks fantastic:

NEW! - The Health Services building is currently under a three weeks-long rehab. Here's Universal's statement:

USF Health Services to Create a More Inviting Space for Guests

Services Still Available to Guests During Location’s 3-Week Renovation

USF Health Services at B-20 is being refurbished to provide a more comfortable, accessible environment for our guests. The rehab includes new flooring, countertops, and decor. During the renovation... the main entrance to Health Services at B-20 (across from Beetlejuice) will be inaccessible. A temporary tent will be positioned just behind the adjacent vehicle gate to provide guests and Team Members assistance with minor ailments that can be addressed with quick remedies (minor cuts/scrapes, headaches, etc.) Directional signs will be posted outside the main entrance... The renovation should be completed and be ready for guests in approximately three weeks.

NEW! - Ok, this is a bad news: Fear Factor was actually open, during slow season! That ruined my day:
