Old Town Sold its Signature Wave Swinger

Some of you may remember the post that we published some time ago, regarding the path Old Town is taking (you can read this particular post here), so you may know that it looks like there's a big crisis going on in that park. Could it be that the much newer and much better Fun Spot U.S.A. Park that opened only recently just next to Old Town has ruined Old Town?

Well, however the situation may be, we just wanted to let you know that Old Town just sold one of its signature rides, that is their huge Wave Swinger, which was like part of the nice entrance. Take a look by yourself. The first picture shows the Wave Swinger as it looked just a couple of weeks ago:

Here's what it looks like right now:

You can now see only the steel support of the ride:

The Wave Swinger lost all its drawings on top:

BEFORE:

NOW:

The Wave Swinger was just next to the ferris wheel:

One thing comes to our mind, though. Is it that they are instead thinking about EXPANDING the park, by making way for a new, bigger attraction that could draw many more people? Wall, as you know, they've already removed the swinging ship, the "Pharaoh's Fury", that was in this same spot:

Now, they've removed the Wave Swinger:

...but, they're also removing the trees in the area:

Let's take a look at the area from the "above":

It looks like a fairly big area for a new, medium-sized ride, right? What will happen then? Only time will tell!
We really wish the best to Old Town, but they will have to make many improvements to the cleanliness of their park and to the quality of their rides, if they want to successfully compete with the ever-expanding Fun Spot U.S.A.
