Universal Orlando to reveal new ride soon

What are we all waiting for? Many will say that they can't wait for the grand opening of LEGOLAND Florida. Others say that they want to see the new Fantasyland completed, while a number of people would like to know if the Orland Thrill Park project has finally received the green light, and when work will start for the new I-Walk complex on International Drive.

But, there's what we believe a "minor" project going on at Universal Studios Florida. It involves the replacement of the previous (ugh!) Jimmy Neutron Nicktoon Blast ride. We know absolutely nothing official, other than rumors about a possible "Despicable Me" attraction... Anyway, we'll know more soon. Very soon.

Here's what Universal Orlando has posted on their official Facebook page:

"Hey fans! We know you’ve been anxiously waiting to hear what our new attraction will be.

Before we officially announce it, we’re going to give you a chance to figure it out!

Next week we’ll start posting a new “UORHint” each week, giving you clues about the

concept of the new attraction! So the question is, are you ready?"

This is great. We didn't even think about them already giving out hints about the new ride, since Jimmy Neutron hasn't even closed "for good" yet. Don't get me wrong, it is closed, as we showed in our last Universal Orlando update, but it will reopen during the busy season, until sometime in August 2011, when it will close definitively.

So, follow us here on OTPN, and make sure to check out whenever you can also the Universal Orlando Facebook page, for these hints about the new, mystery ride! What do you think they will build, and what would you personally want them to build? Share your opinions!

  1. I'm so upset that Universal are closing Jimmy Neautron's ride. My boys and I love that ride. I am excited about the new ride, but why don't they close Twister instead?!
