“Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” Brings New Adventures

Disney Junior fans now have even more to love at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with the March 4 debut of “Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” The new show replaces “Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage!”

Jake, Izzy and Cubby, stars of "Jake and the Never Land Pirates," count their gold doubloons in the new show segment.

A new segment of the show aligns with the recent launch of Disney Channel’s new multiplatform brand, Disney Junior, devoted to children ages 2 to 7 and their families. “Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” features old favorites, such as characters from “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Handy Manny” and “Little Einsteins,” while introducing a host of new puppet characters from the Disney Junior show “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.”
The enhanced show calls for lots of interactivity, as the audience helps characters thwart the legendary foe, Captain Hook. The addition of new puppets, bright visuals and familiar songs encourage little guests to get involved with the treasure hunt through verbal commands and active play.

Captain Hook and Smee are up to no good

Whether using their imaginary telescope to find the treasure on a wall-projected image or dancing to the beat to help inspire characters to think of bright ideas or outsmart a nemesis, spectators feel a part of the show from beginning to end.

“Disney Junior – Live on Stage!” also debuts at the Disneyland Resort March 25.

“Our younger guests will welcome and embrace the enhancements to the ‘Disney Junior - Live On Stage!’ show,” said Glenn San Marco, Entertainment manager. “Not only is there a brand-new scene, ‘Jake and the Neverland Pirates’, which showcases our newest offerings on Disney Channel, but the existing scenes have been also enhanced with improved lighting and audio to ensure our guests experience a fresh and current offering at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.”

  1. It's not POTC that the new segment is based on, it's based on a new Disney Jr. show called "Jake and the Neverland Pirates", which is based on Peter Pan. It even includes Capt. Hook and Smee.

  2. Oh, wow. Sorry for the mistake, that's true. I confused Jake with Jack Sparrow...
