Roy O. Disney Tribute

Today, we're going to remember a Disney family member: Roy E. Disney, which was a great person and dreamer, as his uncle Walt.
Since he recently passed away, The Walt Disney Company decided to dedicate the Animation building in California to Roy. Here's the picture (courtesy of Stitch Kingdom):

According to Disney, hundreds of people (Disney employees, D23 members, family and friends of Roy) gathered in front of the Animation Building in Burbank, California to see the renaming of the building that became the ROY E. DISNEY ANIMATION BUILDING as you can see from the above picture.

Here you are some more pictures, courtesy of Disnology:

"We are truly proud and honored that this building should bear his name" Roy Patrick Disney said at the dedication. "Telling a good story is at the core of what we do at The Walt Disney Company, and animation is one of its purest forms. Roy Edward Disney fought hard to make sure that animation didn't just survive at Disney, he helped make it thrive"

After the dedication, screenings of "Perri" and "Fantasia 2000" were shown at the Studios theatre, making Roy's first and last contribution to films at The Walt Disney Company.

And here's one last picture of him:

Even if it's a bit too late, goodbye, Roy!
