Kodak leaving Epcot. Status: CONFIRMED!

That Kodak was leaving Epcot is not something new, because as we posted before (look here),

IS KODAK LEAVING THE IMAGINATION PAVILION?

There are two new informations I took yesterday:

1) I asked a Cast Member working at Captain EO: "Is the Imagination Pavilion still sponsored by KODAK?", to which she promptly answered: "Yes, only a part of it, but NOT FOR A LONG TIME..."
then I asked: "Do you know a specific date?" and she replied (asking for confirmation to his fellow Cast member, so two people said the same thing) "THE END OF THIS MONTH (July)".

But, wait!

2) What about this sign?:

This sing still says "PRESENTED BY KODAK", but, look at this one:
UPDATE: some sources told us that it said "Honey, I shrunk the Audience", but that doesn't change anything.
KODAK is leaving!

Is this a coincidence? I don't know.

Of course, they've more that 20 days before it's officially gone, so they didn't cover up all the signs:

What does this mean? What will happen to the Imagination pavilion?
If it will receive a new sponsor, it will probably receive an extensive REHAB, which would be GREAT!
If no sponsor is willing to pay, it may remain like this or the TDO (Team Disney Orlando) may finally decide to do a makeover anyway...

The only thing that I hope is that the Imagination pavilion must not end up like....

THIS!!:

What do you think?

  2. I don't think Imagination would be forgotten like Wonders of Life. After all, the Imagination pavilion was a day one attraction, and it would look really silly walking past it just to go into EO, which clearly isn't going away anytime soon.

Best case scenario? Apple sponsors Imagination, turning it into iMagination. Dream Finder with an iPad! Figment with a Mac Book Pro!

I'd just like to pat myself on the back for this post.

  3. Sponsorship is pretentious. People are going to start resenting the "brought to you by" branding and will eventually boycott said products in a passive manner. Disney should realize this and sponsor their own parks. Isn’t Epcot brought to us by oh I don’t know Disney and my $80 ticket!
