Did you know... EPCOT?

While doing a research, I decided to share with you these interesting
FACTS ABOUT EPCOT:
  • Epcot is known as Disney's Discovery park.
  • Epcot uses 274 continuous special effects throughout the entire park and 250 advanced projection systems.
  • The WDW Monorail that passes through Epcot, is the most heavily traveled passenger monorail system in the world, with more than 200,000 passengers each day.
  • Spaceship Earth is 180 feet (or 18 stories) tall. the ride has more than 57 Audio-Animatronics figures and the vehicles travel 163 feet above the ground.
  • The ride vehicles in the Universe of Energy (UOE) pavilion weigh 30,000 pounds and carry 96 passengers.
  • The Primeval diorama in the UOE pavilion is 32 feet high and 515 feet long. it took 5,700 hours to three artists to paint this diorama.
  • Test Track is almost a mile long, and it's also Disney's fastest attraction ever, with a max. speed of 65 miles per hour.
  • The Land pavilion covers 6 acres.The tile mosaic at the entrance of the pavilion covers 3,000 square feet and it took three months to install all the 150,000 mosaic pieces.
  • The smellitizer is a system used in the desert scene at Living with the land, the burning Rome scene at Spaceship earth and in the forest scene of The Universe of Energy attraction. The Smellitizer is a special effect that enhances the experience of an attraction through the sense of smell.
  • Hot air cannons are used in the desert scene of Living with the Land.
  • Over 30,000 fruits and vegetables are harvested annually at Living with the Land.
  • The Imagination pavilion has an amazing 80-foot upside-down waterfall.
  • World Showcase Lagoon covers 40 acres.
  • A 1.2 mile-long promenade leads you to 11 national showcases.
  • Reflection of China is the circle vision film that opened May 22, 2003 and lasts 12 minutes.
  • The Eiffel Tower replica found in the French pavilion is 1/10 of the original, and rises 103 feet over the pavilion.
  • The 180,000 square feet building in the American pavilion is modeled after a Georgian mansion.
  • The 19 torches around World Showcase stand 26 feet above the water level and are powered only by natural gas.
  • ILLUMINATIONS: Reflections of Earth debuted October 1, 1999 and was originally called ILLUMINATIONS 2000.
  • There are 67 computers in 40 locations to present ILLUMINATIONS.
