ICON Park Attractions to Remain Open to Guests for the "Foreseeable Future"
Earlier today, ICON Orlando (the entertainment complex including The Wheel, Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE Aquarium, and other attractions) released the following statement regarding the operating schedule of its venues:
"To our guests,
Three weeks ago, the leadership team at ICON Park recognized the need for special precautionary measures in light of the coronavirus in addition to its standard cleaning protocols that ICON Park executes throughout each day.
Our focus is to ensure a clean environment for our guests and make sure that our hosts are vigilant about maintaining best practices to prevent themselves from contracting any virus. In light on recent updates, we feel it is an appropriate time to communicate that ICON Park and The Wheel at ICON Park will remain open for the foreseeable future.
Our team of hosts at ICON Park is working hard to keep each other and all of our guests as safe as possible. We recommend that our guests familiarize themselves with the CDC guidelines and take additional preventive measures including proper hand washing and use of hand sanitizer as needed.
ICON Park has also followed the safety procedures recommended by local, state and national health officials including The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Florida Department of Health.
Some of the steps that ICON Park is taking to ensure a clean environment for our guests include:
- Hand sanitizer stations or disinfectant wipes available at each entry point to The Wheelhouse
- Hand sanitizer stations available on the entry/exit platform for The Wheel ICON Park
- Cleaning of surface areas in The Wheel capsules between each guest ride
- Additional disinfectant steps taken by bag check, security and custodial hosts, such as continuous disinfectant cleaning throughout the day
- Twice daily team member standups – communicating proper procedures and CDC recommended guidelines to our staff
We are actively monitoring the situation and working with local partners to continually reevaluate the current situation. ICON Park is committed to ensuring our guests and hosts can enjoy a safe and clean environment and will continually implement the above and additional preventive measures throughout the coming weeks and months.
Until the end of April, all guests who purchase an ICON Park Play Pass or Florida Fun Pack will be upgraded to a private capsule at no additional charge. We look forward to providing our guests with a truly iconic Orlando experience."

For general admission, The Wheel will follow standard procedure and provide guests with their own capsule should lines remain under 20 minutes. We will continue to sanitize capsules after each use for the safety and well being of our guests.
Guests who purchase the ICON Park Play Pass will receive a complimentary upgrade to a private capsule on The Wheel through the end of April. Stay tuned for an additional offer later today that includes a private capsule.
