Walls to Be Installed Around Multiple Future World Attractions on September 8

The Walt Disney World Resort recently shared incredible details about the future of Epcot, including its new new neighborhood structure, the new Journey of Water area inspired by “Moana,” a new festival center, and more. To make way for these new offerings, there will be several impacts in the center of Future World.

Starting Sunday, Sept. 8, the following locations will no longer be available to Guests (their last day of operation will be Sept. 7):
  • Fountain View Starbucks and Club Cool will close with elements set to return in the future.
  • At Innoventions East, Colortopia will finish its run.
  • The iconic Fountain of Nations will close for good.
  • Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy will move from their current home in Character Spot and temporarily relocate across the breezeway to Character Spot North (where Baymax, Joy, and Sadness are currently found).
Additionally, walls will be installed around Character Spot, Fountain View, Fountain of Nations and Club Cool on Sunday night.
