Dragon Challenge Closing on September 5 to Make Way for New Ride

Earlier today, the Universal Orlando Resort finally confirmed a rumor that has been floating around the web for years: a new generation of thrill ride will replace Dragon Challenge (the two inverted coasters formerly known ad Dueling Dragons) at Universal’s Islands of Adventure in 2019. While the details about this mysterious new attraction are still very scarce, Universal Orlando confirmed that the ride will be unlike anything they’ve ever done before and it will be fun for the entire family.

The new attraction will be one of the most highly-themed coaster experiences that will combine a new level of storytelling with an action-packed adventure and a few surprises along the way.

To make way for this new experience, Dragon Challenge will permanently close on September 5 (the last day of operation will be Monday, September 4). Make sure to take your last ride on Dragon Challenge before it closes!
