New Chocolate Kingdom Location to Open on I-Drive

The company behind the popular Chocolate Kingdom attraction just purchased a building on International Drive (9901 Hawaiian Ct., next to the Rosen Center and Hilton Orlando) to open their second location in the Central Florida area. The original Chocolate Kingdom is in Kissimmee, next to Fun Spot and Old Town. The new location is approximately 10,500 sq. ft. and will be similar to the one in Kissimmee with the ability to expand in the future.

Some of you may ask yourselves, "why have two Chocolate Kingdoms in Central Florida?"
  • First of all, they are both actual working chocolate factories that have orders from hotels and meeting planners to use their chocolates as gifts for VIPs, trade shows, conventions, and more. Being closer to the convention center and the hotels will make it easier for them to deliver the chocolate they will make daily at their new facility.
  • Secondly, it seems that guests staying on International Drive see Highway 192 as "worlds apart", so the company wanted to be able to cater to visitors staying in the I-Drive corridor.
  • Thirdly, the attraction is quite educational and follows many STEM principles that schools need in order to allow students to go on field trips. Being in both Orange and Osceola counties will allow them to have field trips for both school systems.
When the company founded the Schakolad Chocolate Factory 19 years ago in Orlando, their goal was "to cover the World in Chocolate". With 24 Schakolad stores in 9 different states and 2 countries, organizing 3 Festivals of Chocolate in Florida and having now 2 Chocolate Kingdoms, we can agree with them on the fact that they are getting closer to achieving their goal.

The opening date for this new location has not been officially announced at this time. Stay tuned.
