MagicBands to Be Used During Extra Magic Hours

The Walt Disney World Resort has officially stated that MagicBands will start to be used to admit Guests into the parks during Extra Magic Hours (and into the attractions themselves during evening Extra Magic Hours, when the parks were already previously open to the general public). Here you are some additional information:

"A pilot will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios October 25, 27 and November 2, 2013 in which MagicBands will be used to identify Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests for Extra Magic Hours.

During the pilot, Cast Members will be stationed outside of the park entrance during Extra Magic Hours and will direct Guests wearing MagicBands to touch their MagicBands to a handheld device to verify that they are resort Guests (as you may already know, only resort Guests are being given MagicBands at the moment; that is why this is still considered a test). These Guests will then enter the park as they normally would. Additionally, during evening Extra Magic Hours, Guests will be asked by Cast Members at each attraction entrance to touch their MagicBands to a handheld device before entering.

Guests staying at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, Shades of Green Resort and the Hilton Hotel on Plaza Boulevard can continue to enjoy Extra Magic Hours by presenting their resort ID cards."

Thank you for taking note of this. See you soon with a new LEGOLAND Florida photo-update.
