International Drive: Westgate Palace Hotel Repainted

One of the biggest hotels found along International Drive, the Westgate Palace, is currently being completely repainted (we are referring to the exterior). While this may sound like a minor news, we thought it would be nice to report this change, as the new color scheme is definitely much better than the former one. In addition to that, this is undoubtedly one of the most visually-imposing resorts in the area:

The new color scheme can be seen on the building to the left of these next three photos:

A look at the new color from the other side:

The old color scheme (blue) can be seen to the left of this photo:

  1. These hotels have always been pretty tacky but it's good to see their color scheme has improved, not just now but before as well.Don't tell me you don't remember them when they were painted pepto bismol pink. Then they were changed to white and blue which was an upgrade but still looked a bit tacky, and finally it appears they're getting a more normal color scheme

  2. At least they are finished! Those damn towers sat half built for more years then I can remember. They where an eyesore when Universal Blvd was still Major Ave. Although I agree the new paint job looks much better then what I call "Traditional Tacky Florida Pink"!
