Universal's CityWalk Update: PYQ Store Takes Shape

After having worked on our latest massive Fantasyland update, it is time to shift our focus on the big competitor - located just a couple of miles north - that's successfully expanding on all fronts. Today we will take a quick look around Universal Orlando's CityWalk, as there are a few news to report:

First of all, the former American Express sign-up area has been completely removed from the central hub of Universal Orlando's huge parking lot:

Inside CityWalk, we noticed that some of the logos on one of the main signs are in a quite sad shape:

Meanwhile, work on the new PYQ store continue, as the entrance has been extended toward the main pathway:

One of our friends (thank you, Jade!) told us to check out something interesting inside the Margaritaville restaurant:

No, it's not because of the extensive theming that we are here...

We are here to check out the volcano that erupts real margaritas!:

As you can see, the liquid erupting from the volcano is actually used for drinks in the restaurant! Really nice particular that we never noticed before:

At night, we noticed that the new guitar installed on the Hard Rock Cafe facade now lights up:

And that is all. Thank you for reading, and see you in a little while with a Grand Floridian expansion update!

  1. Sorry to disapoint, but it's only water going from the volcano into the blender in Margaritaville... Keep up the great work though!!

  2. Anonymous is right. The volcano is only a gimmicky effect. It would be very unsanitary to dispense a consumed beverage down such a prop that is never cleaned. It's only for show.

  3. Thank you for the clarification, Anonymous and BJCool. In fact, when we saw that, we wondered if that volcano was ever cleaned, as it didn't look very sanitary...

Of course, on our update I mentioned the fact that the volcano erupts "a liquid," meaning that it could be anything drinkable (including water) :-).
