Universal's Superstar Parade: PHOTOS & VIDEO

As you surely will know, a brand-new daytime parade recently officially debuted at the Universal Orlando Resort. It is called "Universal's Superstar Parade," and it features some of your favorite characters from selected Universal Studios' blockbuster animated movies (Despicable Me and HOP) and Nickelodeon cartoon series (Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer).

Today we want to share with you some photos and a video of this great parade. We hope you will enjoy!:

The first floats are dedicated to the great Despicable Me movie:

Following the Despicable Me floats we get the chance to visit the world of Spongebob Squarepants:

Some fish... rollerskating:

One of them was unfortunately missing a pupil. So sad for her!:

But here he is! That's Spongebob himself!:

Squidward is here too:

The next floats are themed after HOP:

  1. Are they planning some more floats in the future? i can only see this parade as a good start. Let's be honest, a 4 movie parade is a little sad. Universal has so many movies to get there inspiration going. they already got the madagascar or the simpsons outfit. they even have a simpsons bus. why don't use it? :)

  2. Curious to know what your personal opinion of the parade is?

  3. I would have liked to have seen a section dedicated to the classic Universal stuff - featuring the Bluesmobile and the DeLorean etc. Would have lent a "100 years" eye to the proceedings that I would welcome.

  4. I am surprised why they decided to Have 2 Paramount based creations for the parade when they could easily use Woody Woodpecker & Friends and I agree to have seen other Universal based characters then lending another studios characters.

  5. does anyone now if there is an expension planned? let's be honest ... a movie parade dedicated to only 4 movies is a little sad.

Why not a madagascar float, or a simpsons float. They have the costumes. Even the Simpsons bus is already there, why not use it.

Buy a yellow chevrolet camaro and equip it with Bumblebee's voice. they already got the Delorean from the back to the future movies, why not use it.

Pull Beetlejuice out of the graveyard and let his gang join the parade. The blues brothers are also welcome.

Add another 3 beautiful floats and you really got a special parade going on. Or am i wrong?

Harry potter, jurassic park, dragonheart, ... are great movies to create a nice themed float

  6. this has so much potential. there's so much more they could, and should have done.

I fear Universal are simply trialling the idea of a parade with just 4 main floats before committing money to a real parade extravaganza but that underwhelmed guests reactions may lead to them scrapping the parade idea altogether.

this would be a huge pity imo. what little Universal have done is quite impressive, but it needs enlarging to turn this into a "must see".

  7. Did anyone else notice that, whereas guests stop to view a Disney parade (regularly waiting 1 hour +) the photos appear to show this parade passing guest by while they go about the park, almost as if its just a sideshow distraction?

are Universal pushing this parade as an attraction in the same way Disney does?
