  1. Strange, ugly and unfortunate that construction vehicles are driving through the park while it is open. You'd never see that at Disney. Never.

  2. @Jason

Universal is racing against the clock to prep the site and begin verticle construction so that this new attraction will give much needed appeal and capacity to the park before Potter 2.0 opens. This will probably hold some sort of record for the quickest built advanced dark ride of its kind.

Yes, Disney working at night to avoid guests is nice, but not when the attraction could realistically open MUCH MUCH sooner. Which Uni is trying to accomplish.

  4. With the Tower Crane now on site at the former SS44 site, it got me thinking… because I know I’ve seen Universal use this exact same setup not long ago. Take a look at this satellite image of the Transformer ride building under construction in Hollywood and you’ll notice it has the same style crane setup. While this doesn’t exactly confirm that the attraction is Transformers: The Ride, it does give off good evidence that we are looking at a similar sized building structure and construction style to be used here.

  5. Honestly think transformers will spoil the park as it is not as popular in other Places (United Kingdom for example) I think they should have just waited for Harry potter!!

  6. Get real Jason, Disney hasn't hid their construction for at least a dozen years. Just a couple years ago a huge crane was up near the castle and maintainance goes on at Disney around the clock. I'd rather have the crane and a new attraction sooner than see the work done at night. Walt would have had the work done at night but no more.

  7. Transformers is big in UK. Why wouldn't it be?

  8. Agreed. Transformers is just as big, and will be just a big pull for UK guests as it is for those from the US.

  9. The only problem I have with this that Jaws could have lasted longer.
