Animal Kingdom: Stomach Illness Linked to New Tour

Sad news coming from Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Orlando Sentinel reported something very preoccupying a few days ago. According to one of their latest articles, multiple guests that have experienced the new "Wild Africa Trek" tour in the last few months (June and July 2012) have been struck by a bad illness which has provoked many symptoms like nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, and stomach pains.

Despite the on-going investigations of the Orange County Health Department, the Orlando Sentinels reports that the source of the illness is still unknown at this time. Some of the possible case scenarios include the consumption of contaminated water of food during the tour. Of course, we all know that Disney always takes precautionary steps to avoid having to deal with such difficult situations, but it looks like they failed this time. And this is definitely not something to be taken lightly.

The Orlando Sentinel finally reported that "all evidence so far suggests the illness "was confined to this one excursion" and not widespread within the rest of the Animal Kingdom theme park..." Unfortunately, this is the only "good news" included in the article.

  1. Ooops, we are booked on this, on day 2 of 21, maybe give the food a miss, don't want to ruin the rest of our holiday. Hope all the other victims made a quick recovery.
