Changes Coming to the Disney Gift Card Program

An important change regarding Disney Gift Cards will soon be introduced. Take a look:

Disney Gift Card Program Change

Effective March 19, 2012, the maximum activation, reload and total balance limit for the Disney Gift Card is being reduced to $1,000. If Guests want to put more than $1,000 on a Disney Gift Card, they must purchase an additional gift card. Guests may purchase no more than $10,000 in Disney Gift Cards per person/per day, with no more than $1,000 per card, at one time.

Affected products will include:

• Disney Gift Card
• Disney Parks Shopping Card
• Disney Parks Merchandise Credit
• Disney Dining Card

Guests can purchase and reload Disney Gift Cards using cash, credit cards, or traveler checks at all locations that currently sell Disney Gift Cards. Disney Gift Cards sold across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts are not allowed to be purchased or reloaded with Key to the World or Key to the Magic room charge cards.
