LEGOLAND Florida Reveals 2012 Operating Schedule

Just a few days ago, LEGOLAND Florida has revealed the operating hours for next year (you can find the 2012 schedule here). Are they any better than the 2011 opening hours? In a way, they are. The hours for January and February are exactly the same (10 a.m. - 5 p.m., closed on Tuesday and Wednesday), but starting from March 10, things change a bit. Here you are a snapshot of the park's 2012 calendar:

As you can see, after March 2012 they are open every day (including Tuesdays and Wednesdays) with a slightly better time (from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Yes, it is true that March is the month when most schools in the United States have Spring Break, but it is also interesting to see that they keep these operating hours until April 1. In addition to that, there is also a long holiday week in April, so while they will return to their 10 a.m - 5 p.m. schedule, they will still remain open every day until April 23. Also, from May 24 to September 3, the park will be open every day, and that's a really good news. We do wish they would remain open every day of the week year-round, and these may be good signs for an eventual change in the operating hours..

What do you think? Should LEGOLAND stay open every day of the year, just like the other Orlando theme parks do? Or should they just close two days a week, like they will soon start to do, once the park will open to the public? Please, feel free to share your opinions.

  1. The park needs to be open everyday!!! There is a difference between this park and the other Lego Land parks around the world. This theme park is located in an area where there are a lot of theme parks and a lot of competition and these operating hours are going to be very confusing. Tourist are going to have to work around these operation hours and fit it into their vacation which could be a very big hassle.

  2. What???????? Why they close 2 days at week????? I can't understand!!!!!!!

This could be a problem for the guest! Ok, everybody can plan the visit on Internet, like me, but imagine if one day you want to go to legoland without check the open days... you drive till there and... CLOSED!!! I will complain about this!!!!

I also don't understand why the close at 5 pm!!! It's a bit early, I think!!!

  3. It's okay, guys. Give them a year or two, and they'll be open every day, and hopefully open that shuttered waterpark, too.

  4. Also, I'm sure if they're a success, the schedule could change...
