A quick Magic Kingdom update

After the nice news that we received yesterday about the Exposition Hall, we'll take a look at all the other things that are going on at the Magic Kingdom, shall we?

Let's start, with a look at the always great-looking Main Street Train Station:

Fresh flowers have been planted here too:

Work on the Exposition Hall:

New tarps near Tony Town Square's restaurant:

Wok on the confectionery:

More flowers, this time hanging in Main Street:

The Adventureland bridge:

I took a quick glimpse, and I saw that the new bridge is indeed flat. Great news:

Very busy day:

So long, Toontown! (I have to say it every time I see these tarps:

CLOSED:

No visible progress outside the new Fantasyland buildings. Most of the effort id being put inside:

Pooh's trees are finally getting their leaves (they're a bit late):

The Friar's Nook was open! Surprise!:

Work continues on the back of the Castle. It will last a looong time:

Peter, can you make the wait time fly too?:

Recent rumors say that the Fantasyland Skyway station (see photo below) will be completely demolished... much earlier that we originally thought!:

The rumor that will surely become official soon is the widening of this path:

Getting rid of the shop on the right (the Yankee Trader):

New roof being installed on the Liberty Tree Tavern:

Willy is still missing:

The Tortuga Tavern "Restaurante" (??!) has some new themed props:

One of the new Tomorrowland Speedway tracks is now open:

They're much narrower than before:

Open:

Time to go...

New pavement near the Tip Board:

Notice the bright red color of the new pavement:

Good Night:

The service Monorail car... nice to see it once in a while:

Switching tracks:

Thanks for viewing! Please, if you can, you can donate something for our cause, or leave comments. Thank you! Have a great day!

  1. Thanks for the update! It's a good thing that they're finally demolishing the Skyway station, it wastes a good deal of space (although it does make a pretty backdrop). Tortuga Tavern Restaurante??? Don't like the long name so much...

  2. The "Restaurante" part of "Tortuga Tavern Restaurante" does seem redundant.
I always hoped they would utilize the space that the Fantasyland Skyway station occupies. Hopefully something new goes there eventually and it isn't just left bare.

  3. I agree with Nightcrawler - I love the look of the Skyway station in FL, but it is wasting very, very valuable space! If only the long-ago rumored Matterhorn was there....

Beautiful pictures. What camera/lens do you use?

  4. Wonder what they're going to do with the Skyway building space; it's only real function right now is to hide the Small World and Haunted Mansion show buildings.

Hopefully if they widen the path to Liberty Square they keep the current design; it has always been a perfect transition between the lands.

  5. Some rumours have been flying around that a new bathroom building would go where the skyway station is so they can use the existing bathroom space to expand the queue for Peter Pan and potentially add interactive elements.

  6. @Disney7 Heater: Thanks! I use a Sony Cybershot camera. I really like it. It takes great pictures, and especially good videos!

@BK: That's a very, very interesting rumor! That'd be great for many reasons:

    1) These bathrooms are way to hidden behind Peter Pan, and they're constantly "rated" the worst of the park;

2)Peter Pan's queue is pretty lame, and I heard they wanted to add some kind of interactive elements on it (also because it's Fantasyland's busiest ride at the moment...

Thanks again for the great rumor!
