PHOTOS: Disney's Theme Parks and Hotels Prepare for Hurricane Ian's Arrival (PART 1)

Hurricane Ian continues to move closer to Central Florida, threatening to cause a lot of damage as it traverses the area. To get ready for this massive storm, Cast Members around the Walt Disney World Resort have been working tirelessly over the past few days to get the theme parks and hotels ready to face this major hurricane.

Let's take a quick look around just some locations around property to see what was done yesterday afternoon:

At Disney's BoardWalk, sand bags were placed next to most of the buildings:

These bags were eventually placed in front of every entrance to stop water from entering into the buildings:

At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, crews began to take apart the staging areas used as part of Disney's KitTails:

It appears that the last performance ever of Disney KiteTails took place yesterday afternoon. Disney KiteTails was originally going to have its final performance on September 30, 2022:

Given the current circumstances, it would be highly unlikely that the park would bring back the show for just one day:

The tech booth for the Anandapur Theatre (home of Feathered Friends in Flight!) was covered:

Most umbrellas around property were zip tied:
