For the past decade, the shuttered Wonders of Life pavilion has been used as the official "Festival Center" at Epcot during the Flower & Garden Festival as well as the Food & Wine Festival. During such special events, the pavilion would house temporary kiosks, shops, exhibits, and even a small theater that continuously showed short videos about the festival.
Throughout the years, the original theming of this pavilion has been slowly been removed and more festival props have been added, leading many to believe that this space would be doomed to serve as a seasonal "Festival Center" for the foreseeable future. Yet, there's a possibility that plans might have changed...
In fact, by taking a look at the park map that will be available to Guests during this year's Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival (you can preview part of the map below) we noticed that the Wonders of Life pavilion is not labeled as the Festival Center. That confirms a rumor that was recently shared by WDWNT, which also included a photo of some Disney executives and Imagineers touring the area surrounding the pavilion.
While this might mean nothing, it is exciting to think that we could see something new coming to this space as part of Epcot's major expansion project that will include the new Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster, the Ratatouille dark ride, the updated Reflections of China movie, the new space-themed restaurant, and more.
