All You Need to Know About the "Star Wars: Galactic Nights" Event
From Tatooine to Coruscant, the entire galaxy is talking about the epic return of Star Wars: Galactic Nights, the ultimate Star Wars party! Held after park hours from 7 p.m.-midnight with a Hollywood-style party, Disney's Hollywood Studios welcomes Star Wars fans to celebrate the entire Star Wars Saga on Saturday, December 16. While the party officially begins at 7 p.m., event Guests will be able to begin their Star Wars celebration with the event mix-in as early as 5 p.m.
Guests who enter the park prior to the credential distribution near the park's main entrance should head to Grand Park (formerly Muppet Courtyard), the Tower of Terror FastPass+ kiosk, or Rebel Base (Chinese Theater Courtyard) to pick up their event credentials.
NEW THIS YEAR
From immersive Star Wars-inspired cuisine to Star Wars: Galactic Destinations on Sunset Boulevard, there are a variety of new offerings for Guests this year at Star Wars: Galactic Nights. Here are the top five things to know about:
- Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – During this one-night-only panel discussion, hosted by David Collins, expert panel of team members from Walt Disney Imagineering and Lucasfilm will give Guests an inside look at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
- Star Wars: Galactic Destinations – Guests can blast off to space as state-of-the-art projections shoot across the Hollywood Tower Hotel to display favorite film moments from across the galaxy accompanied by the stellar Star Wars cinematic score. Star Wars: Galactic Destinations will run continuously beginning at 7 p.m.
- Specialty Food & Beverage – Find Star Wars-themed treats all over the park! Specialty items include the Lightsaber Churro, specialty cupcakes and event-exclusive dishes that will immerse Guests in the stories and characters of the Star Wars universe.
- Galactic Tasting & Viewing Package – Guests are able to enhance their Star Wars: Galactic Nights experience with a Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package. Tasting-sized sips and bites inspired by the stories and characters of Star Wars will be available at various locations throughout the park. With the Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package, Guests can enjoy up to five food & beverage items as well as reserved seating for the 9:10 p.m. or 10:10 p.m. Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge panel.
- Wine Seminar with Skywalker Vineyards – Guests can learn about the winemaking process at Skywalker Vineyards during the seminars at the Brown Derby. The seminar is included with event admission, with samples and bottles available for purchase. Wine seminars will take place at 6:15 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:45 p.m. and 10 p.m.

From meeting friendly Ewoks to behind the scenes panels with Imagineers, there’s something for every human, droid and womp rat! Here's a list of some of the experiences available only during this special event:

To be a part of the Galactic Nights Epilogue, Guests should tag their photos with #GalacticNights when sharing on social media.
- DJ Dance Party (Rebel Base – Intermittently 7 p.m. to midnight) – Guests can dance the night away in a galaxy far, far away!
- Imperial March (Park entrance to Rebel Base – 7:05 p.m., 8:05 p.m., 9:05 p.m., 9:55 p.m.) – Join a battalion of Stormtroopers on a dramatic march down Hollywood Blvd to the Event Stage, where Darth Vader will meet his troops.
- Droidbuilders (Animation Courtyard – 7 p.m. to midnight) – Encourage Guests to keep an eye out for roaming R2 Builders droids! R2 Builders is an international community of Star Wars fans who build their own replica robots of the recognizable droids from the Star Wars galaxy.
- Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away (Rebel Base – 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10:20 p.m.) – Guest are able to experience a live stage show of high energy film clips that bring together action-filled character moments on stage, including Rey, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Kylo Ren and many more.
- Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular (Rebel Base – 11:45 p.m.) – The skies will come alive with the power of the Force, as the park’s popular Star Wars-themed nighttime spectacular lights up the night.
- Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple (Near Star Tours – The Adventures Continue – 6:10 p.m., 6:40 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 8:45 p.m., 9:15 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:15 p.m.) – Guests can witness the future of the Force, as younglings face their fears at the sacred Jedi Temple. Guests can visit Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost to reserve a spot in the training for young Guests ages 4-12. Space is first-come, first-serve and limited.

PHOTO BACKDROPS
This year Star Wars: Galactic Nights will feature eight different dimensional photo background for our Guests throughout the Park. To add to the experience, we’ve added a bit of fun in Snapchat. Each individual photo backdrop has a unique geofilter, exclusive to Star Wars: Galactic Nights!
Photo backdrop locations are also the distribution point for the Seize the Saga Scavenger Hunt stickers. Additional stickers will be available at Guest Relations and distributed as needed.

In addition, for one night only, Disney PhotoPass is offering a deal out of this galaxy. For just $39, Guests can purchase Memory Maker One Day, receiving unlimited digital downloads of all their Star Wars: Galactic Nights memories including characters, icons, attractions, magic and more. This special event price is only available at Sid Cahuenga’s One-of-a-Kind, Rock Around the Shop and Tower Hotel Gifts during Star Wars: Galactic Nights. Special event pricing is not available via the My Disney Experience app.

This year, event Guests can choose a variety of options to enhance their galactic experience:
- Galactic Tasting & Viewing Package – Guests are able to enhance their Star Wars: Galactic Nights experience with a Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package. Tasting-sized sips and bites inspired by the stories and characters of Star Wars will be available at various locations throughout the park. With the Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package, Guests can enjoy up to five food & beverage items as well as reserved seating for the 9:10 p.m. or 10:10 p.m. Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge panel. The Galactic Tasting and Viewing Package is available for purchase for $30 (plus tax) near Rebel Base and Sunshine Day Café. Food and beverage items included in this package are marked in the event passport as well as at each food & beverage location.
- Jedi Recruitment Package – Guests are able to equip their youngling with the necessary tools and tips to defeat the Dark Side at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. Check-in for the Jedi Recruitment package is located at Ewok Village (external queue of Star Tours).
- Galactic Character Couture Packages – Disney Senses Spa will be onsite at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, offering Guests hair, makeup and nails transformations with stylish designs inspired by Star Wars characters. Located inside Legends of Hollywood, appointments are available via walk-ins on a first-come, first-serve basis.

RAIN PLAN
In the event of inclement weather, the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage shows and the Imperial March will be canceled, while the following experiences will be relocated to indoor venues:
- Droidbuilders - Disney Junior Live On Stage Theater
- Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple - Sunset Showcase
- Jedi Recruitment Package check-in - Star Wars: Path of the Jedi exit
COSTUME GUIDELINES
Guests are invited to dress in costume for Star Wars: Galactic Nights on Dec. 16, but will be expected to follow the special event guidelines. As a reminder, those guidelines are as follows:
- Guests who dress like Disney or Star Wars characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs.
- Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. This includes any Star Wars type guns or blasters. Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
- Guests may carry toy swords and/or lightsabers.
Guests ages 13 and under:
- Costumes and some masks may be worn, as long as the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible.
Guests ages 14 and older:
- Layered costumes/costume props that surround the entire body, are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
- Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground (e.g. full-length Princess dresses).
- Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
- Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face; masks of any kind are not allowed to be worn.
