Special Offers Available to Caribbean Beach Resort Guests


The Walt Disney World Resort recently announced that exciting changes will be made at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, beginning with a reimagining of the resort that will add even more amenities to the centralized dining and shopping marketplace.
Starting from this May, several Guest offerings will be unavailable at Centertown/Old Port Royale. As a result, Guests with upcoming reservations at this resort will be able to take advantage of special offers and enjoy alternative food & beverage options.

Guests staying at Caribbean Beach Resort during the refurbishment will receive a $75 Disney Gift Card, per night, per room, which will be delivered upon check-in and may be used at participating Walt Disney World Resort Food & Beverage and Merchandise locations. FOOD & BEVERAGE OFFERINGS
During the refurbishment work, a variety of dining options will be available at the resort. This includes a Caribbean-style buffet for breakfast, a la carte offerings for dinner, a selection of grab-and-go meals throughout the day, and in-room dining. A new quick service location will open near Trinidad Island this summer, featuring a walk-up quick service window as well as Guest services assistance in the evenings.

What are the refurbishment dates for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort? When will work be complete?
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will undergo multiple refurbishment projects over the next two years.

How will this work impact my stay?
Noise may be heard while this work is completed, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9 a.m. daily. In addition, while several dining locations will be unavailable, we will still have a variety of dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Will this impact any Guest rooms/buildings?
Buildings within Martinique and Barbados islands will be unavailable beginning this May.

What dining options will be available during this closure?
While Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters at Old Port Royale and Banana Cabana Pool Bar will be closed during this time, Guests will have several food and beverage options available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This includes:
  • A Caribbean-style buffet for breakfast and a la carte offerings for dinner.
  • A selection of grab-and-go meals available for purchase throughout the day in three island markets in the Aruba, Jamaica and Martinique regions of the resort. These grab-and-go options provide quick food and beverage offerings that could include items such as sandwiches, fresh fruit, bottled beverages and more.
  • In-room dining will remain available. The menu includes pizza, sandwiches and pasta.
Coca-Cola Freestyle machines will be available throughout the resort for Guests to refill their resort mugs.

Will the Disney Dining Plan be accepted for these dining options?
Yes, the Disney Dining Plan will be accepted. Buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner options will be available as one (1) quick-service entitlement, while grab and go options are also eligible for one (1) snack or quick-service entitlement, depending on the item.

Will there be options for special dietary needs?
Yes. These dining locations will make every effort to assist you with your dietary needs.

Are the alternate dining options ADA compliant?
Yes. These dining locations will offer ADA accessibility.

If I extend my reservation while onsite, will additional value be added to my Disney Gift Card?
Yes, the $75 Disney Gift Card will be issued, per night, per room.

If the room I want is unavailable upon my arrival and I am transferred to another resort, will I still receive the Disney Gift Card?
If you transfer to another resort after your arrival, the gift card received upon arrival will remain valid.

If I chose to transfer my reservation to another resort prior to my arrival, will I still receive the Disney Gift Card?
No, the gift card will not be offered to Guests who chose to transfer to other resorts.

Will the pool be impacted?
The main feature pool and leisure pools will still be available.

Will recreation be impacted?
Recreation activities will still be available. Upon arrival, please refer to the Recreation Calendar for current activities offered during your stay.

  1. Yeah... No thanks. Best to stay elsewhere. No pool bar open for the adults at all. Very few real dining options. If you stay here for the discounts, plan on eating lunch and dinner at the parks instead.

    With that said, will be awesome once the work is done, especially if the gondola rumors are true.
