Epcot Update: Frozen, Soarin' Around the World (PART 1)

Guests visiting Epcot can look forward to experience a slate of new additions this year. After many uneventful summers, the park has finally opened two new attractions that can be enjoyed by the whole family. In Future World, Guests can explore multiple locations around the world by riding Soarin' Around the World, while young and old alike can meet Anna and Elsa in the Norway pavilion in World Showcase and even take a tour of Arendelle in Frozen Ever After.

Like a grand and miraculous spaceship...

The Innoventions plaza may change soon if rumors are true:

There is a possibilty that these ugly structure might be removed in the coming months:

The same rumors also say that both sides of Innoventions will soon close permanently:

Innoventions West has already been mostly closed for a while now:

We hope that Epcot will finally be able to shine again:

The Tip Boards on either side of the breezeways are still not working:

The Land's new sign looks great:

The pavilion was not as busy as we thought during our visit:

After waiting for more than four years, the poster advertising the Circle of Life has been replaced:

Gone is the faded image of Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa:

New signs direct Guests to the two elevators in the building:

New artwork can now be observed next to the newer elevator:

The new elevator has two doors, making it easier to get in and out with ECVs and wheelchairs:

The new Soarin' Around the World is absolutely stunning. To tell the truth, we were not big fans of the former Soarin' (Over California) due to the bad image quality, lack of any real transitions, and the fact that the film solely focused on California (which made very little sense here at Epcot). The new movie fixes a lot of the wrongs of the first movie. With Soarin' Around the World, Guests can now truly feel like they are traveling around the globe, enjoying new smells, better transitions, a much clearer picture, and much more. The only negative point (in our opinion) is the heavy use of CGI:

New touch points have been installed in front of the FastPass+ entrance. The Single Riders line has also been removed for good. There's no chance it will make a comeback, sadly:

Very few changes can be observed in the queue line, other than new carpet and lighting effects:

The new Soarin's Challenge game is more entertaining than the former interactive game:

Let's take a look around the rest of the queue:

New emergency exits were added along the way:
