Camels Coming Soon to Disney's Animal Kingdom?

Disney’s Animal Kingdom continually looks for ways to share stories about animals that represent the culture and environments where they live.
Following the success of Winged Encounters, the park is exploring a similar animal atmosphere experience involving camels. As a trial, animal care experts will be guiding the camels to the Tree of Life through Discovery Island and Africa after operating hours May 6-9, 2015. The route may be changed in the future.

Animal care experts are expected to guide six domesticated, one-humped dromedary camels through a small area of the park. That said, this test may be expanded in the next few weeks. In fact, Guests visiting the park may see the camels walking from Pizzafari to the Tree of Life several times a day during park hours on May 10-11, 2015. Be aware that this may change at any time.

Additional information about this test will be shared soon. Stay tuned on Orlando Theme Park News.
