Animal Kingdom Update: Tree of Life Work (PART 1)


As the busy summer season continues to get closer, new areas and walkways are beginning to open in phases at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
At the same time, multiple sections of the park continue to remain closed as they get major refurbishments or entirely new attractions. This morning we will tour the park, to check out the work being done on the Rivers of Light nighttime show, the Flame Tree Barbecue, the new walkway in Asia, and much more:


First of all, the bus parking lot is receiving some major changes:







Entering the park:



Walls have returned to this area (the entrance of Discovery Island):





The expansion of the Disney Outfitters store is getting more obvious now:

Work continues to be done around the Tree of Life:

A temporary bridge allows construction workers to reach the area where the Tree of Life is located:







The Flame Tree Barbecue restaurant is now scheduled to remain closed through the end of June:
