Contactless Payment Available at WDW Starting Dec. 24

As part of Disney's ongoing efforts to improve the Guest experience, contactless payments will be accepted starting from December 24, 2014 at most Disney-operated merchandise locations, quick-service restaurants, bars/lounges, spas, recreation and ticket sales locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. This new form of electronic payment is commonly associated with mobile apps including Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Softcard, and contactless credit cards.

Guests will be able to make their payment by holding a mobile device or NFC-enabled credit card near one of the existing touch-to-pay stationary devices that were implemented as part of MyMagic+. A sticker with the EMVCo Contactless Symbol, represented by four curved lines, will be placed on existing stationary touch-to-pay stationary devices at locations where contactless payment is accepted.

Guests with questions regarding contactless payment should be directed to their mobile app provider or credit card provider for assistance.

Payment functionality via wireless devices – such as virtual folio at table-service restaurants – and Operating Participant locations are not included in the initial rollout. More locations at Walt Disney World as well as locations at the Disneyland Resort will be added to the list where Apple Pay and other contactless payments are accepted in the future.
