Epcot Update: Starbucks Is Coming (PART 3)

Welcome to PART 3 of this new Epcot photo-report (PART 2 can be found by clicking here).

Let us continue to take a look around the future site of the new Moroccan restaurant:

The shop that had to be removed due to the construction has found a new, temporary home:

It's inside the Tangierine Cafe:

Japan:

The American Adventure pavilion:

This looks like new merchandise:

Work on the new restrooms also continues:

Italy:

Germany:

The Outpost:

China:

These must have been installed recently to avoid having people sit on the brick wall:

It's funny that they have to use the same system that is used to get rid of birds from the top of the buildings:

Acrobats:

Norway:

The Maelstrom waterfall continues to receive attention:

If we didn't know any better, we would say that they are extending the ride's track:

...but they are not, of course:

The smallest area in the world for dogs to rest. Seriously, what can the do here?:

Mexico:

Viva Mexico (what a blurry picture...)!:

Never seens such a long line for Gran Fiesta Tour other than on December 31:

This should be all for today. Thank you as always for reading, and remember to post your comments!

Great updates but a little hypocritical I think regarding evil / witchcraft.

  5. So sad to see the state Innovention is in. There was a time these buildings where full of exciting stuff to do and see. Now they are empty and boring. They should put a cool ride in there.

So Disney is trying to get people not to sit during the evening show. Why not build more benches and places to sit and watch it from (without ordering a meal), we are tired after a long day walking and shopping!

Anyway, great update and thank you.

Do you know if they are already doing some work on the former Festival Bay at international drive?

  6. Another Great Update 'OTPN'!
    Keep up the good work.
If I could just ask, can you make a discussion page, where we could post stuff, like example: How Epcot needs help.
Then everyone puts their 2 cents in.

BTW need to grow up about witchcraft, there are lot more serious stuff going on in the world

Again hats off to you OTPN

  7. @Reddy: No, the Norway ride (Maelstrom) is still open. They are just working on the exterior waterfall, don't worry!

@2nd Anonymous: I know, we apologize, but we didn't get a picture of Canada. We'll have to take a lot of miscellaneous pictures of the Canada pavilion next time!!

@Otto: I agree with you on INNOVENTIONS. They should really do something to make it a better "attraction." Regarding Festival Bay, it is still sitting there with no real work taking place inside. It's such a sad place right now. we hope somebody will take care of it as soon as possible.

@AMagicProduction: Thank you very much for your kind words. We truly appreciate that. I am going to think about the discussion page. It could be a good idea. In the meantime, check out the "RUMORS" page of our blog (anyone can leave a message there), and let us know what you think.

  8. I don't think the dog area is for "resting". ;-)

Seriously, it's for service dogs to, uh...do their business.

  9. I read this:
    http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2013-01-13/business/os-cfb-forecast-retail-0114-20130113_1_festival-bay-west-oaks-mall-paragon-outlet-partners
So I was thinking they have maybe started. I guess they'll start soon. Yes it's sad to see that mall looking like it does but help is on it's way.

  10. I don't know if it's just me but I love Epcot the way it is. We from the uk and for the past 3 visits to Orlando we always do Epcot on the first day as after a 9 hour flight we don't want to do much on our first day. We enjoy taking our time walking round world showcase watching the live entertainment, looking round the shops&having a chilled day. We can easily take hours walking round it. On Future World it self it be good if they opened up the building that housed Body Wars with new attractions. I keep universe of energy ride as it's a nice way to get out the sun for 45 mins. It's the other side that's letting itself down. Captain EO really needs to go again and not replaced by Honey I shrunk again. Figment really needs the dream finder back it just isn't the same without him. Soarin needs to be updated to be done on flying over Florida,Circle of life cinema think it needs to be updated with Wall E.

  11. During the Christmas holiday of '11 we rode Gran Fiesta, walking up we were able to queue as normal, BUT, they had to install the temporary extended queue behind us to handle the crowd. And that was the longest line I've ever seen for an attraction that is typically a 5-10 minute wait.
