Universal Studios Update: Building Fast (PART 5)

Welcome to PART 5 of this Universal Studios Florida picture-report (PART 4 can be found here).

We'll now wrap up our update by focusing on some minor additions and improvements:

First of all, here you are the renovated waterfront section of Central Park, which now features a concrete wall with a brick pattern (it looks very nice, even though the red color seem to be a bit too bright):

A closer look at this new section of the waterfront:

Really nice details:

Minor work being done on the rock just behind this small waterfront area:

The new "Splash Zone" signs now also include some safety warnings:

If you were wondering, here is a sample of the older "Splash Zone" signs (with no safety warnings):

A few more photos of the Transformers building:

Here you are some bonus pictures:

Since we don't have enough photos to put together a Universal's CityWalk update, we wanted to include these few pictures of the work currently being done on the Hard Rock Cafe' shop:

A look inside:

The new, temporary shop:

This was actually a bar before:

A small area in the back of the restaurant is being used to store some of the items that have been removed from the store and that may be placed back in due time:

You can tell they reused Universal Orlando's work walls:

One last thing. New walls have gone up next to the entrance of Islands of Adventure. What will be built here?:

We'll see...

Time to fix this:

And this is all! Thank you so much for reading. We hope you enjoyed this update, and we look forward to read your thoughts and opinions in our comments section, found just below this post. Thank you and enjoy your day!

  1. Excellent update as always! Looks like a lot of progress. Looking forward to the Simpsons area and of course Transformers.

  2. I'm afraid the outside of the Transformers building is going to look like a motherboard or computer chip (but then realy big).
Not sure if I like that.

    Great update!

  3. The walls in front of the Islands of Adventure are new Will Call Kiosks like the ones recently installed at Universal Studios.

  4. Great update. I wonder when Universal will start downplaying the 100th Anniversary theme. Although, that might have an effect on the nighttime show.

  5. I wonder if the Simpsons restaurant will be a Krusty Burger?! Cant wait to see all the new developments in August - haven't been since 2010 so lots to see!

    Great report as always :)
