LEGOLAND Florida: Star Wars Miniland (PART 2)

Welcome to part 2 of this Star Wars Miniland photo-gallery (PART 1 can be found HERE).

Before continuing our tour of the area, we need to make a stop and say hello to Darth Vader and R2-D2:

You may recognize these models, as they were first located in the Fun Town area of LEGOLAND Florida:

Now we get to out favorite areas of the whole expansion:

This is HOTH:

When I see these, the only thing that comes to my mind is Disney's Hollywood Studios (and no, we have never seen any of the Star Wars movies. Very few people actually believe us, but it is true.):

There's even a (working) Yeti! Learn Disney's Animal Kingdom, learn!:

It looks like his name is Wampa (a thank you to our reader, JiffyPop, for sharing that with us):

The absolute highlight of the expansion, TATOOINE:

This floating Millennium Falcon makes a very, very nice effect!:

A look at the rest of Tatooine, which includes a version of Mos Eisley's Cantina:

Light-speed to ENDOR!:

The Ewoks live in these tiny tree-houses:

The last area, NABOO:

Nice castle!:

Before leaving the area, Darth Maul salutes us:

He doesn't seem very pleased to see us, though...

"Hey, leave my camera alone! Leave that alone, I said!"

The land's exit (or second entrance), which leads to the Land of Adventure:

And that is all. We hope you have enjoyed this photo-gallery of LEGOLAND Florida's newest addition! Please, share with us your comments and opinions regarding this new Star Wars-themed area of the park. Also, feel free to correct us in case we didn't name correctly some of the areas and characters portrayed in this update, as we are not very familiar with the Star Wars saga (as we previously stated). Thank you!

  2. Thank you for that! I had no idea it had a name!

  3. I was expecting a lot better than this, I'm very disappointed. I have always been a huge Star Wars fan and I think my expectations were too high.

  4. ^They're Lego figurines in a Lego Mini-land in Legoland. What more did you expect? This is exactly on par with the other mini-lands - a depiction of every day life in a particular setting.

  5. OTPN, why have you never seen Star Wars?

  6. Other Star Wars Mini lands are in a building with cool lighting. Why have they done this?

  7. @Second-to-Last Anonymous: I don't know, I think I have never felt I would like such movies... Of course, I know it is bad to judge something without even knowing its plot or seeing at least some previews, but I am not sure. I think I should just take the time and watch all of them!

@Last Anonymous: Actually all of the Star Wars Minilands at the various LEGOLAND parks are outdoors. What area you referring to?

  8. There is one that is indoors... Can't remember which one. The California one is outdoors for certain.

  9. Hi from U.K. The indoor one is in LEGOLAND Windsor in the space where rocket racers held for 11 years.

  10. Yes, the one from Legoland Windsor is located within a building. What makes it so effective is, each room is themed to the model on display and has great use of lighting that really creates an atmosphere.

This is obviously on par with the other Legoland outside starwars exhibits.
