Florida is one of the most diverse places on Earth. It is true that, when most people mention Florida, the first thing that comes to mind is the amazing array of theme parks and attractions that call the state "home." That being said, Florida offers so much more than just theme parks and other man-made attractions. Its beaches, forests, lakes, towns, and islands definitely offer a lot of wonderful opportunities to enjoy the real Florida.

The largest tract of wilderness east of the Rocky Mountains is located in south Florida within Everglades National Park. St. Augustine is the longest continually inhabited European founded city in the United States, or more commonly called the "Nation’s Oldest City."
