Magic Kingdom General Update - April 18 (PART 2)

Welcome to PART 2 of this new Magic Kingdom Park general update (PART 1 can be found here).

Let's take a look at some new props for Adventureland's new interactive game, which will debut this summer:

This cannon will soon blast air:

A closer look:

The cannon is pointing at...

...this bell, which will definitely make a loud sound:

Regarding the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, here you are some photos of the reconfigured stand-by line (as we said some time ago, the LEFT line will become the stand-by line, while the RIGHT line will be used for Guests using the FASTPASS+ service. Both lines will then merge (possibly) near the loading area:

Sorry for the quality of these photos, but we didn't want to use the flash in an indoor location:

Some new themed props:

Back outside, let's take a look at some more interactive props:

The wires have finally been hidden:

Moving on, searching for more props:

New themed props near the Jungle Cruise sign:

By the way, the base of the extended Jungle Cruise stroller area finally received a themed cover:

More props:

"I'm not spongin' for rum! It be gold I'm after":

Some work is being done on the Swiss Family Treehouse:

  1. My kids were telling me how they did not know who the Swiss Family was. And it was brought to my attention that no one knows the Swiss Family - I barely do! Disney should really rename it Tarzan's Treehouse or something along those lines...

  2. They already mucked up Disneyland's Swiss Family tree house with a Tarzan theme. We can just let the culturally illiterate visit other attractions. You can meet Mickey Mouse off of Main Street. I bet you know who he is!

  3. Ouch. That was harsh! Not everyone is acquainted with the classics in literature. Disney should figure out a way to introduce the story for those who don't know it. After all, many of these novels are no longer taught in schools. I know. I teach English to high school students. And before someone answers back sarcastically, teachers can't teach all the classics.

  4. My kids are 7 and 4, and they know the story...from the movie AND the novel.
