Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Remain Closed for Refurbishment Through Mid-July 2021

The Walt Disney World Resort officially confirmed that Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will remain closed to Guests until mid-July 2021. This schedule adjustment will allow crews to complete some refurbishment work at the hotel, including enhancements to the Great Ceremonial House and Guest rooms.

Rooms at the resort will be reimagined with a color palette inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its many islands and will also include details, patterns, and textures from Disney's Moana. Updates regarding the refurbishment of the Great Ceremonial House will be shared in the coming months.

Beginning in early October, Guests staying at the Polynesian Villas and Bungalows (which will remain open) will have direct bus transportation available to all four theme parks. Additionally, the monorail station at Disney's Polynesian Resort will be closed during this refurbishment work, beginning in early October. Guests may use the walkway to access the monorail and ferryboats at the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Work is expected to begin in early October. Additional updated will be shared in the near future.
