Event Details for Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (February 20-23, 2020)

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will return to the Walt Disney World Resort from February 20 to February 23, 2020. The sold-out race is expected to draw more than 60,000 fans, spectators and runners.


As one of the largest race weekends geared towards women, the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend celebrates women’s health and promotes an active lifestyle. Featuring princess-themed entertainment and a health and fitness expo designed with the female runner in mind, this race appeals to women of all ages who want to embrace their inner princess and push their limits. Some princes also join in on the fun.

  • February 20-22: runDisney Health & Fitness Expo
  • February 21: Disney Princess 5K
  • February 22: runDisney Kids Races
  • February 22: Disney Princess Enchanted 10K
  • February 23: Disney Princess Half Marathon
  • February 22-23: Disney Fairy Tale Challenge

ROAD CLOSURES:
On Sunday, February 23 during the Princess Half Marathon, World Drive (North and South) from Seven Seas Drive to the main entrance to Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be closed in both directions from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Guests and Cast Members who normally travel through property using this road will need to take an approximate 12-mile detour off property using Winter Garden Vineland Road (CR 535) and Reams Road.

Additionally, major roads, including Epcot Center Drive and other portions of World Drive will be closed or operating under traffic restrictions starting at 4:00am on Saturday, February 22 in preparation the Disney Princess Enchanted 10K and again at 11:00 p.m. in preparation of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Sunday, February 23.

TRANSPORTATION:
Mears shuttles will transport Guests to and from host resorts to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Epcot for the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, runDisney Kids Races, Disney Princess 5K, Disney Princess Enchanted 10K and the Disney Princess Half Marathon.

TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE:

Friday (5K):
  • Host Resorts to Epcot: 3:30-5 a.m. and 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Saturday (10K):
  • Host Resorts to/from Epcot: 3:30-5 a.m. and 7:30-9:30 a.m.

Race participants must board a bus to Epcot no later than 4 a.m. for the 5K and 10K to be on time for race start. Transportation will continue throughout the morning for spectators.

Sunday (Half Marathon):
  • Host Resorts to/from Epcot: 3-5 a.m. and 6:30-11 a.m. 

Monorails will be available only for Guests staying at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, or Contemporary resorts. Race participants must board a bus or monorail to Epcot no later than 3:30 a.m. for the half marathon to be on time for race start. Transportation will continue throughout the morning for spectators.
