On Oct. 3, 1971, Peter Pan’s Flight welcomed Guests at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort for the first time. A fan-favorite attraction, Guests travel past the second star to the right and join Peter, Wendy and the Lost Boys on their colorful adventures in Neverland.

1999 – Tangierine Café, a quick-service restaurant in Morocco at Epcot, opens.

Oct. 1
1982 – Epcot opens at Walt Disney World Resort
1971 – Magic Kingdom Park opens at Walt Disney World Resort
1971 – Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Resort opens at Walt Disney World Resort

Oct. 2
1971 – Admiral Joe Fowler Riverboat opens at Magic Kingdom Park

Oct. 3
1971 – Peter Pan’s Flight opened at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort

Oct. 4
1998 – Rolie Polie Olie (television), an animated series, premiered on Disney Channel

Oct. 5
1955 – The Disneyland Hotel opens at Disneyland Resort

Oct. 6
2014 – Memento Mori Shop in Liberty Square opened at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort
