March of the First Order Ending on July 7 at Hollywood Studios, Stormtroopers Moving to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

When the all-new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Guests visiting the the planet of Batuu are likely to come across some familiar faces. The planet is home to Black Spire Outpost, an infamous port for smugglers, traders, and adventurers wishing to avoid any unnecessary entanglements with the First Order, and in the ancient ruins outside Black Spire Outpost, locals report sightings of individuals associated with the Resistance.

First Order Stormtroopers will be patrolling Black Spire Outpost while engaging villagers and travelers alike. Wherever someone goes in Black Spire Outpost, the First Order is always watching!

To prepare them for the trip to Batuu, the First Order Stormtroopers will return to their Star Destroyer for a short furlough beginning July 7. Guests will once again have an opportunity to interact with them when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29. When the Stormtroopers return, they will wear new different costumes (it's unclear if they will look the same or if they will feature new details).

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Kylo Ren

From time to time, Kylo Ren himself may even arrive in Black Spire Outpost, impressing upon its inhabitants the power and strength of the First Order. He consults with the First Order Officer assigned to this trading port and sets out with a contingent of Stormtroopers to interrogate the locals, seeking any Resistance sympathizers.

The mighty Wookiee, Chewbacca, may also be spotted in Black Spire Outpost, rounding up new recruits for the Resistance and helping to establish a temporary base hidden away from the outpost and the prying eyes of the First Order. Vi Moradi, a Resistance spy working under orders from General Organa, makes her way through the area, sharing some of the tricks of her trade and ensuring those she encounters that the Resistance is getting stronger. And as you explore the wooded outskirts of the village, you may also encounter Rey as she greets recruits, champions the Resistance and inspires everyone she meets.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the ultimate Star Wars experience and it opens Aug. 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

  1. Thank God. I hope that silly “Launch Bay” is next on the chopping block. The cheap Star Wars stuff that’s been littered about (what remains of) the park for the past half decade was tackier than that ridiculous 100-foot hat. Just like the Frozen ride, the best part of the new Star Wars land is that the rest of Disney World will be rid of slapped-together cardboard cutouts, parades, and two-year “summer celebrations” for a little while until Disney buys another successful franchise.
